My father purchased her new from Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier in 1960.
The Windsong was our family boat throughout the 70's. This will make an awesome boat when finished for a fraction of the cost of a new 30' cruiser. The classic stylings of the fifties will truely be a one of a kind yacht.
Captain Morgan started a complete overhall and have run out of time, effort and money. The entire bottom has been replace, new ribs, stem and keel. Plywood bottom was upgraded from 1/2" to 5/8". The freeboard was upgraded with additional laminated 1/4" plywood. A super strong hull!
Includes custom plywood veneer for plank transom.
The Herculese "K" motors and transmissions have been rebuilt by Mitch La Pointe and are ready for installation. I have all the components and parts to complete the boat. I will also sell my tri-axle trailer with the boat. Over $25K invested, plus my time. Would appreciate any reasonable offer. My loss, your gain. |
